Tuition Assistance

At SEAI, we recognize that financial circumstances can sometimes make professional training difficult to access. To help make Somatic Experiencing® education available to a broader range of participants, we offer a limited number of tuition assistance opportunities for applicants with demonstrated financial need.

Available Support

Tuition assistance is provided in the form of a partial reduction of the training tuition fee. The amount awarded varies based on individual circumstances, available funds, and the number of requests received for each training cohort.

As part of SEAI’s commitment to expanding access to Somatic Experiencing® throughout the region, priority may be given to applicants from underserved communities within the countries of the former Yugoslavia where access to professional trauma education remains limited.

How to Apply

Requests for tuition assistance are considered after acceptance into the SE Professional Training Program.

To apply, please submit:

• A motivation letter (approximately one page) describing:
  – Your current financial circumstances and approximate annual income
  – The level of tuition assistance you are requesting
  – Why you are applying for tuition assistance
  – How you plan to use the knowledge and skills gained through the training
• A professional recommendation from a colleague, supervisor, mentor, or other professional who can speak to your suitability for the program.

Please submit your materials to somaticseem@gmail.com by the application deadline for your chosen training cohort.

All requests are reviewed individually. Depending on circumstances, applicants may be invited to a brief phone or Zoom conversation. Decisions are typically communicated within two weeks of receiving a complete application.
